An innovative 12 week guided journal supporting mental health & wellness self-care

The pandemic and current economic issues have contributed to a huge increase in the prevalence of mental health issues within our society.

Founded by Mark Morton, who has used his personal experiences with stress and anxiety, Journalise provides a guided journal that will help the user successfully start a journaling practice in support of their mental health and wellness self-care. The 12 weeks of content provide daily prompts that will take the user through a journey of self-discovery.

With tracking tools to plan and track their personal journey, exercises based on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, and introductions to other tools that support their mental health self-care, the user will discover their motivations and drivers, and understand how to support their ongoing mental health.

Journaling is an excellent tool for mental health self-care, and studies have shown that it can help reduce stress and manage anxiety, and can help in coping with depression. It is also a great tool for those feeling overwhelmed, or who are experiencing a loss of focus and direction. However, starting to journal and knowing what to write about is difficult, and facing a blank sheet of paper is scary. When Mark first tried journaling he experienced this same issue, and following continued attempts and research into the subject, he created the Journalise Journal 101 to address this issue and make journaling more accessible.

In its 12 weeks of content, the Journalise Journal 101 provides:

  • Daily check-in pages which help you set up for a successful day, and then to reflect and prepare for the next.
  • Daily exercises and prompts that will guide you in understanding your needs, goals and emotions.Includes exercises to help your thought processes and gain an understanding of yourself, plus information on other techniques and practices you can use to support your mental health and wellness.
  • Planning and tracking tools to help set your goals and milestones, and to track the progress of your personal journey.
