Those who know me will know I will only review products I have physically used myself – although as a proud grandparent, I am a little too grown up for these products and have had to trust the better judgement of my grandchildren!
I was delighted to come across the online children’s store, Room to Grow and, buying items for the little people in my life, I have been very impressed with the service, the quality of the items and the speedy delivery and I wish I had known about them when my daughters were furnishing the nursery, because their quality is second to none and they have everything relating to kids beds, from cots to toddler beds, mid sleeper beds and even teenage beds – that will probably be my daughters’ next furniture buy!
Of course, these days, I am only too happy to spoil my grandchildren and Room to Grow also offer some great accessories and toys, so here’s some of the products my grandchildren loved:
Monster B Bean Bag – £159.99
It you are thinking ‘that’s a lot for a beanbag’, this is not like any other beanbag you have ever seen.
This was an instant hit with the adults in our house – and the cat, who jumped straight on it when we pulled it out of the box and was not impressed at being immediately moved!
-The quality is fantastic and there is nothing child like about this bean bag, it is HUGE and will work for children from birth to teens, to big kids like us! It’s a great fit for adults, truly comfortable and testament to how much I love my 6 year old grandson that after opening it in our house, we found the inner strength to box it back up and drive it all the way up to him in Yorkshire!
Unsurprisingly he loved it and everyone who saw it commented on the quality, this is a bean bag for all ages, and given the stylish design and choice of colours, this would fit into any style of decor.
I’m told it’s now the envy of his friends and their parents (and maybe his parents too!). Meanwhile, I am planning on ordering one for us – or more likely, for our cat (yes, he is spoiled too!). Definitely a hit with all ages – and all species!
Sweet Dreams Smiling Cloud Children’s Rug, £13.00
This soft, fluffy cheery rug is perfect for a young girl’s bedroom, and my youngest granddaughter gave this full marks. She was very insistent on where it went in her room, and spent lots of time playing on it afterwards. It’s sweet and bright, like her, and adds a lovely splash of fun to her bedroom floor. Made from 100% soft cotton and can be spot cleaned if needed. Another hit!
Wooden Toy Car Garage Set – on sale at £ 59.99 (reduced from £74.99)
I’m told by my daughter that my youngest grandson will simply love this, but she is saving it for his upcoming birthday.
However, what immediately struck me is the high quality of the construction, the lovely colours and the fact it has been designed with little ones safety in mind, with no sharp edges. It’s fantastic value compared to similar offerings on the market, many of which are not built to the same standard.
Obviously my grandson’s choice to play with it will prove the ultimate test, but it’s great to know that should my daughter have more children, this is so well made that it’s likely to be handed down and enjoyed by them too. Of course, when my littlest grandson is ready for his first bed, his Mum has now clocked Rooms to Grow and will doubtless be shopping there!
Overall, I have been delighted with the quality, the service and the range of this children’s furniture specialist and cannot recommend them highly enough. Delivery was lightning fast too.
