Philips introduces two innovative new VoiceTracer models: a
super-discreet recording pen and a pocket-sized powerhouse

Speech Processing Solutions (SPS) has added two innovative new models to the class-leading Philips VoiceTracer range, both of which can be used with Sembly’s AI Speech-to-Text Cloud Software to turn recordings into text quickly and accurately. This makes it perfect for recording audio in clinical trials or healthcare appointments.

The DVT1600 VoiceTracer Audio Recorder Pen allows you to record conversations and meetings plus jot down notes to accompany or supplement recordings. Its highly sensitive, integrated 360° microphone is designed to record voices in clear audio quality, with simple one-touch operation.

The Audio Recorder Pen’s integrated USB-C interface allows for ultra-fast, cable-free file transfer. Plug it directly into your PC or Mac to read and transfer your files, and to recharge the battery. Battery life is typically eight hours between charges, and if the pen gets critically low on battery it will automatically back up and save the recording before powering down. The pen fully recharges in two hours.

You can capture up to 129 hours of high-quality recordings or use the Audio Recorder Pen’s 32GB of internal memory for a mix of recordings and file storage – use it just as you would a USB stick. This flexibility makes it perfect for a range of use-case scenarios, including healthcare and education.
DVT 2015 VoiceTracer Audio Recorder

The DVT2015 VoiceTracer Audio Recorder is the perfect pocket-sized device for easily capturing voice recordings including notes, interviews, and small meeting settings. Thanks to its excellent sound quality, long-lasting battery and large extendable memory, it is the ideal alternative
to recording with your smartphone.

The DVT 2015 has twin stereo microphones with extreme sensitivity, allowing them to record voices in excellent quality (choose from MP3 or PCM format). Its 33mm LCD screen enables easy file navigation, while USB connectivity offers ultra-fast file transfer. Plug it into your PC or Mac to read and transfer your files, simple as that! Its internal memory of 8GB, expandable up to 32GB via a microSD card, allows you to capture up to 12hrs of PCM recordings, 90hrs of HQ, 297hrs of SP, and 2,370hrs of SLP. Record your meetings without hassle with its battery providing up to 40h of battery life.

Sembly – powering transcription via AI
Used with the Cloud-based Sembly speech recognition software, both new VoiceTracer recorders offer the following AI-based features:
Automatic conversion of recordings to text directly from audio files
Provision of meeting minutes with transcripts from multiple speakers, for simplified conversation tracking
Simplified sharing of voice recordings within teams.
For even more advanced transcription options and workflow management, both devices can be used with Philips Dictation’s SpeechLive suite of services.

The DVT 2015 VoiceTracer Audio Recorder is available via a range of resellers from today, with typical pricing at £69 (ex VAT). The DVT1600 VoiceTracer Audio Recorder Pen will be available at a typical price of £89 (ex VAT) from 1st July, with some resellers already taking pre-orders.
