Scents to cast a spell on you: check out these beautiful tarot candles from Witchy

Witchy is a stunning and ethical brand offering Tarot candles, wax melts and accessories for those who want to add a witchy feel to their homes.

As a fan of all things ‘witchy’, the Wellbeing News team were absolutely delighted to get our hands on two of the candles – we chose The Sun (because who doesn’t need a little sunshine!) and the Lovers – because we all need a little love too – and speaking of love, we all love these candles!

The first thing you notice about Witchy candles is the scent.  Having worked for a pagan wholesaler in a former life, you quickly learn to appreciate the difference between cheap incense and candles, and the scent tells you all you need to know.  I definitely wasn’t disappointed with these, within minutes of opening the packaging, even before finding a ‘home’ for them to sit, the whole room smelled lovely thanks to the perfume-grade fragrance.

The top of each candle is adorned with two crystals, and I was delighted to learn that the founders, Iona and Craig, share my passion for crystals which are mined ethically, the duo have time to select mines where the crystals are good but also where the workers are well treated.  When products and ingredients are well sourced, and the product is made in small batches with love and care, you know you can feel good about things that look and smell good.

Lighting the candles brings another waft of beautiful smells, and whether you want to use them just to decorate your home, use in feng shui to generate a good vibe in a dull corner, or take it a stage further to use them alongside affirmations or in spellwork, you will not be disappointed.   The scent, the rich colours and the crystals all combine to deliver a great looking candle that makes a beautiful gift for someone you love – and whether they love crystals or tarot, they’ll love them all.

The Witchy business began with crystals back in 2019 and by the Christmas they decided to branch out into candles.  Their first trio launched with Tarot Crystal Candles, called The Sun, The Lovers, and The Star.   Adorning the candles with Tarot Card pictures from the Rider Waite tarot, the range quickly took off and has now grown to 11 candles plus a limited edition candle of the month (which for September is the vibrant Three of Cups).

The candles are now Iona and Craig’s main focus and they have added specific ‘intention candles’ to the range too, but you don’t have to be pagan or spiritual to appreciate the gorgeous artwork and lovely scents.  Perfect as a gift for someone special, a treat for yourself or a very special way to decorate your home, we love the range.
